EMMA has launched its first members-only facebook page.
The group provides a platform for discussion, information exchange and is designed to provide a more flexible medium for the debate and communication than the threaded discussion structure of the existing forum. The forum will continue to be used for hosting longer documents and discussion papers.
"The design of facebook makes it easy for participants to provide regular updates and contributions. I hope that all of our members will join the new group and will find something of value," said Charles Brown, board member for the EMMA site.
The EMMA discussion board allows for the creation of discussion threads while the The Wall encourages members to add announcements, news items, short comments, views and links.
Charles will be contacting members to invite them to the group. Members already on facebook can also send a request and Charles will activate their membership.
